Recently, significant developments have occurred regarding the smuggling of illegal migrants from Izmir to Istanbul.

In an operation conducted in Bursa, two illegal migrants without permits and a foreign driver transporting them were detained on October 8 at the Bursa West toll booths on the Istanbul highway. This situation highlights the prevalence of migrant smuggling.

The driver was processed for pirate transportation, and the rented vehicle was banned from traffic for 60 days. Such incidents pose serious security and human rights issues.

Three foreign nationals were handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management after their procedures. This situation reminds us that migrants should be transported safely.
