Landslides and Soil Erosion Disasters in Istanbul

Landslides and soil erosion in Istanbul have created significant dangers.
In Silivri, a landslide resulted in rock fragments falling from a height of 40 meters into a tea garden. Seven people, including a child, narrowly escaped danger during the incident.

In Kağıthane, a similar situation occurred due to heavy rainfall. The retaining wall behind the building remained intact, while rock fragments fell into the empty space behind the building.

In Fatih, a road collapsed, but fortunately, there were no injuries. Hotel staff took precautions and panicked for a while.

In Beşiktaş, soil and rock fragments entered three apartments due to a landslide, but thankfully, there were no casualties and necessary precautions were taken.

These incidents highlight the potential dangers of natural events in Istanbul. It is crucial to heed the warnings of authorities and take necessary precautions.
