AKP's Economic Policies and Rising Concordat Applications

AKP's economic policies have started to create serious problems recently.
Recent data shows that the number of concordat applications has increased from 605 to 1259 in the first six months of 2025. This situation is seen as a reflection of the deepening crisis in the economy.
Industrialists state that companies declaring concordat not only affect themselves but also negatively impact other firms with which they have commercial relationships. This situation threatens economic stability.
CHP İzmir Deputy Seda Kaya Ösen criticized this situation, stating, 'History will write Mr. Şimşek as the minister who bankrupted companies.'
The increase in concordat applications is putting not only indebted firms but also creditor firms in a difficult position. New regulations are needed to ensure economic stability.
