AI fraud has become an increasing problem lately. A businessman in Ayvalık fell victim to this fraud.

The businessman, identified as I.D., contacted a fraudster posing as an expert from a well-known investment firm in Istanbul. The fraudster promised a 78% profit through a 45-day investment program.

I.D. allowed the fraudster to use AI-generated photos to gain his trust. As a result, he transferred a total of 10 million lira to two different bank accounts.

A week later, when I.D. wanted to withdraw his money, communication was cut off, and he realized he had been defrauded. He filed a complaint through his lawyer.

His lawyer stated that the incident was a planned and systematic fraud operation. It is crucial to be cautious against such frauds.
