The YSK is holding an extraordinary meeting for the CHP Istanbul Congress!

The Supreme Election Council (YSK) decided to meet extraordinarily at 13:30 upon the application of the Sarıyer District Election Board. This meeting is crucial for the continuation of the CHP's congress process in Istanbul.

In the Istanbul provincial congress held on October 8, 2023, Özgür Çelik was elected president. However, allegations of fraud in the voting process emerged, leading the court to annul the congress.

Gursel Tekin and his team were temporarily appointed to the CHP Istanbul Presidency. The congress process will continue with the YSK's decision.

The congress is scheduled for September 24, 2025. Until that date, the management structure of the CHP in Istanbul will remain uncertain.
