The Aftermath of Forest Fires in Antalya

The forest fires in Antalya have been controlled after a significant effort. The fires affected various neighborhoods in Alanya.
Starting on September 18, the fires spread rapidly due to strong winds. A response team of 13 helicopters, 4 planes, and 200 ground vehicles was deployed.
Approximately 1350 hectares of land were affected by the fires. The district governor announced that damage assessment work has begun.
The mayor of Alanya announced that the budget allocated for the canceled Alanya Jazz Festival will be used to assist those affected by the fire.
To protect homes during fires, a green belt initiative will be launched. Residents are encouraged to plant these saplings around their homes.
