Scorching Heat is Coming to Istanbul! Stay Cautious

A heatwave is affecting Istanbul! Temperatures will rise to 36 degrees.
The General Directorate of Meteorology has reported that temperatures will exceed seasonal norms by 6 to 12 degrees. It is advised not to go outside, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Regions may experience temperatures reaching 40 degrees. Particularly in Southeast Anatolia, temperatures may exceed 45 degrees. These temperatures are measured in the shade.
Due to the hot weather, the risk of forest fires is also increasing. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has warned citizens not to light fires.

In Istanbul, citizens are trying to cool off in beaches and parks, with many choosing to swim in the sea. Temperatures are above seasonal norms.
