The Ereğli Family Court determined that the husband exhibited cold and degrading behavior towards his wife. The wife stated that her husband called her names like "water buffalo."

The court found the husband fully at fault for the divorce and ordered him to pay 4,500 TL in alimony and 240,000 TL in damages.
