A major smuggling operation in Bursa has drawn attention.

The Gemlik District Gendarmerie Command and the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department conducted simultaneous raids on 3 addresses suspected of producing illegal cigarettes. Four individuals were arrested during this operation.

During the operation, 80,000 tobacco-printed cigarettes, 301,400 rolling papers, 173 kilograms of shredded tobacco, and many other illegal materials were seized. This is considered an important step in the fight against smuggling.

The detained suspects are undergoing processing at the police station and are expected to be brought to court. Further operations of this nature are anticipated.
