A record day was experienced in Turkish airspace! Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the number of transit flights has reached an all-time high.

On April 27, 1729 transit flights were recorded in Turkish airspace. This surpassed the previous record of 1711 flights recorded on April 9. Turkey's geopolitical position allows for increased investments in air travel.

Uraloğlu highlighted that Turkey is located at the intersection of Asia, Europe, and Africa, providing access to 67 countries with a population of 1.5 billion people. This advantageous position makes Turkey an important transit hub in aviation.

The Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Arnavutköy Metro Line is also breaking passenger records. On February 19, it served 37,843 passengers. This line, one of the longest in Istanbul, allows over 30,000 passengers to travel faster and more safely every day.

Uraloğlu stated that once completed, the line will serve a total of 15 stations over a length of 69 kilometers. This line plays a significant role in Istanbul's transportation, greatly contributing to city traffic.
