Recently, a significant drug operation conducted in Turkey and Europe has drawn attention. In this simultaneous operation across five countries, 234 individuals were arrested.

The operation was carried out in cooperation with police forces from Turkey, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, and Belgium. After approximately eight months of work, the encrypted communication networks of four major crime syndicates were unraveled.

Istanbul Police Department aims to prevent drug shipments from South America to Turkey and Europe through this operation against international drug networks.

The operation resulted in the seizure of 681 properties, 127 vehicles, and shares in 113 companies. The seizure of assets worth approximately 13 billion lira demonstrates the seriousness of the fight against crime syndicates.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated that this operation is a significant step against international crime syndicates, emphasizing that no place is safe for these criminal organizations.
