Delegations from Syria and Kosovo met in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. During this meeting, Syria decided to recognize Kosovo as an independent state.

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this decision stems from the belief in the right of peoples to self-determination. The constructive role of Saudi Arabia in this process was also highlighted.

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani expressed gratitude for Syria's recognition decision. This decision is seen as a reflection of the struggle for freedom of both peoples.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced that with Syria's recognition, the number of countries recognizing Kosovo has reached 120. This development symbolizes the beginning of a new era for Kosovo.

Syria's Foreign Minister Hasan Esad Shaybani is also expected to visit Turkey. The details of this visit have not yet been shared.
