Kaja Kallas stated at the G7 summit in Canada that the biggest winner of the trade wars between the US and Europe is China. Kallas said, "The one watching calmly from the sidelines is China. The US being in a trade war with Europe is really benefiting China."

Trump's threat of a 200% tariff on alcoholic beverages imported from the EU has further escalated the trade wars. Kallas emphasized that the EU is ready to respond when necessary.

Kallas pointed out that trade wars lead to inflation increases that could hit consumers. "We are keeping our cool and are certainly ready to act and defend our interests when necessary," she said.

Kallas approached Russia's ceasefire proposal in Ukraine with caution. "We have seen ceasefire agreements before, and Russia has never adhered to these agreements," she stated.
