Former AKP Deputy Şamil Tayyar provided a report card for his party for the year 2025. He made strong criticisms on various issues from the economic crisis to the party's political stance.

In his social media post, Tayyar stated, "We are leaving another year behind. We are now in the final stretch towards the election. If we need to start somewhere, we should embark on a journey to truth that will enhance the authority of words before the media,".

He noted that economic turmoil has lasted for four years, saying, "The damage is deeper, and the anger is more intense."

Tayyar emphasized that the political institution is not in control of the agenda and that its capacity to produce solutions has weakened. He stated, "Hope for the future has diminished."

Criticizing the government's statements regarding the minimum wage, Tayyar pointed out that no supportive statements were made.
