AKP media and RTÜK oversight are gaining momentum in Turkey to enhance security. Recent traffic controls have drawn attention.

In Adana, the Provincial Police Department's Traffic Control Branch conducted a drone-supported traffic application. 470 vehicles were stopped, and drivers' documents were checked, including alcohol tests. In these inspections, 5 vehicles were removed from traffic, and a total of 596,659 lira fines were imposed on 98 drivers.

In Gaziantep, traffic control was also conducted with cayrokopter support. 1,532 vehicles were checked, and 44 drivers were fined a total of 253,928 lira. 10 vehicles were removed from traffic.

Similar inspections were carried out in Bursa. The gendarmerie conducted aerial and ground traffic inspections, identifying drivers who did not comply with the rules.

These inspections are expected to continue throughout the month of Ramadan. The importance of such applications for public safety is significant.
