Devlet Bahçeli is discussing the ownership of coastal forests. The new regulation allows these areas to be allocated for private ownership.

The new regulation published in the Official Gazette grants the Ministry of Culture and Tourism the authority to allocate public lands for tourism investments. Accordingly, sections of forest areas on the sea side of the coastline may be allocated for public use.

With the new regulation, coastal forest areas can be allocated for private ownership, provided they remain open to the public.

The Ministry will determine the necessary conditions for the allocation of these areas and will implement the regulation. This is considered an important development for tourism investments.
