There are lively days in the AKP backrooms! Recent developments in Elazig are drawing attention.

After the earthquake in Elazig in 2020, General Secretary Ali Şiş, who did not sign illegal demolition tenders, was removed from his position due to pressures from AKP deputies. Cemil Yatkın was appointed in his place. Following Yatkın's appointment, it was learned that AKP members were assigned to various positions in the special administration.

In particular, it is claimed that Selim Nazırlı, the cousin of AKP Elazığ Deputy Rıdvan Mahmut Nazırlı, will be appointed as a director in the special administration. This situation indicates that favoritism and nepotism within the party continue.

Additionally, it was learned that Nisa AteÅŸ, a member of the AKP Women's Branch MKYK, was appointed to the secretariat in the special administration. This is seen as an effort to increase the influence of the party's women's branches.

It is also reported that Veysel Doğan, the AKP Elazığ Central District Manager, is working in the special administration. These developments are interpreted as part of AKP's efforts to increase its influence in local administrations.
