Turkey-EU Economic Dialogue Resumes!

The Turkey-EU High Level Economic Dialogue meeting will take place in Brussels after 6 years. This meeting presents a significant opportunity for strengthening economic relations between the two parties.
Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek will deliver the opening speeches. The meeting will address macroeconomic outlooks and steps that can be taken in the field of competitiveness.
In the second part, leading representatives from the business world will evaluate joint investment and trade opportunities. Executives from financial institutions like the European Investment Bank will also participate in the meeting.
Minister Şimşek stated that Turkey is ready for stronger cooperation with the EU. Topics such as updating the Customs Union and providing visa facilitation for business people are expected to be discussed.
Emphasizing that the meeting is an important step for revitalizing Turkey-EU relations, Minister Şimşek noted that Turkey is the EU's 5th largest trading partner.
