RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin issued important warnings to media organizations. He emphasized the need for broadcasters to maintain their editorial independence while prioritizing public interest.

Şahin pointed out that it is essential to consider the statements from the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office as a requirement of the rule of law. He stated that news presenters should not shape events with their personal political views.

Recalling Article 8 of the Law on the Establishment and Broadcasting Services of Radio and Television, Şahin stressed that every broadcaster is obliged to comply with the rules stated in this law.

Şahin noted that necessary sanctions will be imposed on broadcasters that violate the legal regulations and thanked media organizations that ensure the public receives accurate and impartial news.
