7 Golden Tips For Remote Workers To Stay Agile
With the diversification of work types through technology and other effects, employees who build their careers on producing services need to adapt to various work and discipline styles. One of these is remote work, which I have also experienced for a long time. Although there are many sources on the internet related to this since the content I will provide is based on personal experience, I believe that there will be complementary ideas alongside similarities, and I wish you an enjoyable reading experience.
The items are not in order of importance.
1. Move and sleep regularly
I think this title is one of the most obvious features that define us as living organisms. You will probably think that I want to say do exercises after reading this. Of course, do exercises! But before that, especially many people working from home should realize that they are not even moving. We pass between rooms inside the house and reach from one place to another through vehicles when we go outside. Allocate at least 10 or 20 minutes for a walk or exercise outside for a body that desires movement in its natural structure. Apply this not only to be fit but also for a healthy body and mind functioning.
2. Be aware of all the material and spiritual energy you have in your life.
As we move forward on this path that consists of ups and downs in our lives, we undoubtedly need resources that will provide us with power and resilience. In our work or any relationship, we aim to be peaceful individuals whose primary needs are met by constantly striving for a balanced exchange between material and spiritual needs. First, an effective analysis of internal resources, both psychologically and materially, and taking measures accordingly, is vital for success.
3. Visualize the experience and talents you have had throughout your life.
Although this title may seem like an idea of preparing a resume to you, it is really an idea of preparing a resume. However, this is not to present it to someone but to see your important experiences and talents and remember who you are in the first place. While designing ourselves like a game character in the footsteps of figures we chose as idols from our childhood to old age, we can sometimes forget the struggles we have given and our achievements. In our psychological decline processes, we tend to feel like incompetent people, which is necessary to give up the burden on our shoulders in that mood. There will be competencies that you need to remember when you have rested enough and entered the rising phase again in this process. Design a strong character profile that shows you the talents and experiences in your hands, which you can realistically score and develop along with your new initiatives. If you have a request on this issue, I would like to explain how it can be done in future publications.
4. Determine daily routines that you can stick to in line with your goals
As time passes quickly between our intense struggles, sometimes routines that we repeat for 10 minutes, consciously or unconsciously during the day, can turn us into people who are needed in a functioning. Overcome your perfectionist mindset and realize how long the 5 or 10 minutes we treat as a moment actually are. After these repetitions, there can be no more enjoyable process for your brain, which witnesses your development.
5. Conduct needs analysis and regularly update your strategy in reaching these analyses.
In this period where consumption is increasing and diversifying, if you focus only on production, the trend or the impact of your work on the market may have already passed. This can lead you to put more energy into less earning opportunities with your talent. Direct your power in the right way to the right places.
6. Protect your mind from the media and negative situations that you are sure you cannot do anything about.
Pain is a fact of our life. When a bad situation happens to us or especially when a disaster occurs close to us, as conscious members of society, we share that pain with all sincerity and respect and offer all the possibilities we have for benefit-oriented reasons.
But after this point, a two-sided cycle begins between the media and the followers, apart from the victims of the incident. In the first part of the cycle, although the media has presented the disaster in general terms, it continues to feed on the emotional veins of the incident by going into detail. In the second part, after taking our share from the emotional destruction experienced, we are dragged into a never-ending and intense emotional exploitation in pursuit of tiny crumbs of hope. However, in such moments, be selective about the information presented to you and block any news source that does not contain active benefit, constructiveness, and quality in their shares.
7. Do nothing.
Sometimes when we stop, we realize how fast we are actually moving or what we are really busy with. This is a good opportunity to listen to ourselves and question the boundaries we have drawn in the path we are following. Sometimes just stand, think about what you need and want, and try not to do anything that is defined as something. Write down your thoughts and convey them. Do not forget that there is a limit to development and progress in our lives spread over limited periods, and be compassionate to yourself,
