What is Visionboard, How Is It Made?
Beyond these metaphors, writing down the things we want to happen, listing our plans or dreams makes them easier to do. While writing the article, we understand better what we want and how. Our brain closes the gaps that we didn't think about while dreaming - so that we wouldn't be sad. We don't realize how many question marks there are until we transcribe them. We need the transcription to plan the details, decide the time, and even decide if we really want it.
Considering that we accept this and put our dreams into writing, there is only one step left. Make visible. Let's imagine that at the beginning of the year, we wrote down what we plan to do that year or write our dreams in ten years. In the middle of the year, when we come across the planner and read about our dreams and goals, we see that we are still waiting for them to come true with the same excitement. At the end of the year, we find ourselves putting the same dreams on a clean slate for the new year. Let's pretend we make all this visible. We exaggerated the work, wrote all of them big, and put their pictures on them without being ashamed. As if all this was not enough, we hung it in the most visible part of our house/room. We read our dreams every morning when we wake up and every night when we go to bed. Same articles and pictures. Every morning and every evening. When we are bored with studying or taking a break from work, we constantly read about our dreams/goals. Ordinary/daily things for us now. They've been in our lives for so long that they don't even excite us anymore. We know how to do it all. We made plans for all of them and bought tickets for excursions. We have done research for the business we want to establish, and we have registered for the course for the language we plan to learn. Half of your dream of losing ten pounds at the beginning of the year is gone. I mean, we accepted them as a part of our life and we did something for them every morning.
This is how dreams come true, taking a small step every day.
Well, all this made some sense to me, at least for those who want to try:
How to Make a Visionboard?
I just mentioned it briefly, but I'll also enjoy turning it into a list.
1- Clipboard
For the clipboard part, we take cardboard, magazine cover, or whatever size we like.
2- Our dreams
We receive things, written or visual, that remind us of our dreams.
Places you plan to visit, course goals, business plans, getting a promotion, learning a new language, exercising, eating healthy, drinking regular water, etc. Everything depends on you.
3- Glue
Now we combine all this.
The most important thing here is to write down our dreams in all their details. Whatever we want, we get it. Let's not limit ourselves while dreaming.
If you share your boards with us with the #visionboard label, we can all dream together.
