Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş made a strong statement against recent injustices. In a social media post, Yavaş stated, "Criticism is an inseparable part of politics in democracies."

Yavaş described the detention of retired Colonel Orkun Özeller for expressing his thoughts as an unacceptable injustice. He emphasized the importance of non-custodial trials, stating, "This is an unacceptable injustice."

Yavaş added, "What is needed today is not to judge different opinions, but an understanding that nurtures democracy and protects freedom of expression."

He also reacted to the detention of Ekrem İmamoğlu, stating, "If you are really seeking justice, the fundamental principles of law must be adhered to first."

Mansur Yavaş expressed his commitment to continue fighting for the rule of law and justice, emphasizing the need for public support to prevent such injustices.
