Five CHP mayors have been arrested in Istanbul. This situation is among the developing events in corruption investigations.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that arrest orders were issued within the scope of four different investigations focused on the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). One of these investigations involves the organized crime investigation of Aziz İhsan Aktaş.

The arrested mayors include those from Gaziosmanpaşa, Avcılar, Ceyhan, and Seyhan. This situation is seen as a significant development ahead of the 2024 local elections.
