IBB Responds to Allegations Against Ekrem İmamoğlu

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality denied allegations against Ekrem İmamoğlu's bodyguard Mustafa Akın. It was claimed that Akın received a monthly salary of 1.5 million lira.
In the statement, it was clarified that Akın's monthly salary is 87,000 lira and he receives 42,500 lira as a board member of Boğaziçi Yönetim A.Ş. It was also stated that he lives in İBB lodgings, not in a luxury apartment in Etiler.

IBB emphasized that these false news aim to mislead the public and legitimize Mustafa Akın's unjust arrest. Both Akın's family and IBB will take legal actions against these slanders and lies.
The statement also highlighted that Mustafa Akın previously served in the Presidential Protection Team and has a clean record, indicating his qualifications as a public official.

In conclusion, IBB's statements serve as a defense against the unfounded allegations made against Ekrem İmamoğlu and his team. It is essential for the public to critically evaluate such news for accurate information.
