CHP Adana Deputy Ayhan Barut called for bonuses to be given to retirees during Eid in the Parliament.

Barut stated, "At least enough bonuses should be given to retirees and minimum wage earners to buy a sacrificial animal." This year's rising prices of sacrificial animals are worrying the public.

Barut asked, "How will our retirees with a salary of 14,500 lira and our workers with a minimum wage of 22,000 lira perform the sacrifice?"

The CHP has submitted a bill to raise the Eid bonus for retirees to the minimum wage level, aiming to improve their living standards.

Barut urged the government, saying, "Our people are struggling with hunger and poverty. Come on, support our producers!"
