CHP's Gökhan Günaydın announced that a new operation targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) has been conducted. This operation targets bureaucrats at various levels of the municipality.

Günaydın stated on social media, "Another major operation against IBB on Saturday morning... IBB is being rendered ineffective," highlighting the seriousness of the situation.

CHP Leader Özgür Özel stated that the reason for the operation is not corruption but the Kanal Istanbul Project. He said, "If there is no Kanal Istanbul, there is no Tayyip Erdoğan; that's why they are attacking our friends."

The operations against IBB are escalating the political atmosphere in Istanbul. CHP is voicing its reactions and informing the public about the situation.

Günaydın added, "The IBB Chief of Staff, new and former deputy secretaries, group leaders, general managers, and more have been detained," emphasizing the scale of the operation.
