Heavy rains are causing havoc in Mersin!

According to meteorological warnings, heavy rains have been affecting parts of Mersin since the morning. Roads in Tarsus and the Mediterranean district have turned into lakes, trapping vehicles and flooding local markets.

In Erdemli and Silifke, heavy rains have also caused damage to greenhouses, particularly affecting banana and strawberry crops due to a tornado in Anamur.

Authorities are warning citizens about the risks of flooding and landslides, especially in low-lying areas where caution is advised.

The Mersin Water and Sewerage Administration (MESKİ) teams are working to drain the accumulated water. Taking necessary precautions against such natural disasters is crucial.
