Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu continues to work as the guardian of Istanbul despite being imprisoned. Nuri Aslan called for İmamoğlu's release.

İBB Vice President Nuri Aslan criticized İmamoğlu's judicial process during a ceremony in Üsküdar, stating, "We demand the release of Istanbul's guardian to be tried without detention."

Aslan emphasized that İmamoğlu should be tried under the same conditions as the current president. He also pointed out the need for rapid implementation of urban transformation projects.

Üsküdar Mayor Sinem Dedetaş stated that the urban transformation process is progressing rapidly and that İmamoğlu's vision is crucial in this process.

After İmamoğlu's imprisonment, CHP leader Özgür Özel also paid a supportive visit, emphasizing that İmamoğlu is the guardian of Istanbul.
