One of Europe's most active volcanoes, Etna, has erupted again!

Lava has reached approximately 400 meters high, creating a thick ash cloud. This has led to warnings for flights in Catania. The Etna volcano, located on the island of Sicily in Italy, has been put on alert.

Tourists flocked to the Etna volcano due to the eruptions.

The Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology reported that explosive activity at the summit craters of Etna has increased, and ash emissions are ongoing. A red aviation warning has been issued for flight safety.

Despite the aviation warnings, flights at Catania Fontanarossa Airport are reported to be continuing normally. Authorities stated that if ashfall does not increase, no disruptions in air traffic are expected.

The Etna volcano is the highest active volcano in Europe, standing at 3,300 meters, and is closely monitored by expert teams on a 24-hour basis.
