Silent Disaster in the Pacific: Earth's Crust is Cracking

A major crack is forming in the Pacific Ocean! Scientists report that tectonic plates are beginning to self-destruct.
Geologist Brandon Shuck from Louisiana State University describes this situation as "We are watching a train slowly derail." The research identified a 75-kilometer-long active fault beneath the Explorer plate.

These findings prove that subduction zones are not immortal and that the geological cycle may one day come to an end. Shuck states, "Starting a subduction zone is like pushing a train uphill. But once it gets moving, it becomes unstoppable."
This process could serve as a protective mechanism that prevents the complete erasure of Earth's geological history. Scientists continue to monitor this situation closely.
