Avalanche, Landslide, and Soil Erosion Disasters: Weather Warnings

In recent days, heavy snowfall across many regions of Turkey has led to avalanches, landslides, and soil erosion. With temperatures dropping below seasonal norms, citizens found themselves unprepared for these conditions.
In particular, in provinces like Erzurum and Duzce, snow depths reached up to 20 centimeters. This situation caused disruptions in transportation and significant material damage in some areas without any loss of life.

Heavy rains in the Black Sea region have caused floods and landslides. In Rize, 500 small livestock were rescued after being trapped in heavy snow. Such events remind us of the power of nature.
The General Directorate of Meteorology emphasizes the need to closely monitor weather warnings. It is especially important for those living in high-altitude areas to be cautious and take necessary precautions.

This winter, we are going through a challenging period due to natural events. However, we must remember that we can overcome these difficulties through solidarity and cooperation.
