Meteorologist Adil Tek stated that this winter is expected to be harsher. Particularly, a high rate of snowfall is anticipated in Istanbul.

Short-term snowfall is expected at the end of November. High snowfall is anticipated between January 15 and February 15.

The General Directorate of Meteorology expects snowfall in many regions of Turkey. Rain and mixed snow are expected in Central Anatolia, the Black Sea, and Eastern Anatolia.

There is a risk of avalanches in the highlands of Eastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia. Caution is advised due to possible icing and frost.
