Drought and erosion have become some of the biggest environmental challenges facing Turkey today. President Erdoğan made significant announcements regarding these issues during the Cabinet Meeting.

He announced two important promises for the youth. Through the Family and Youth Fund, the amount of support given to young couples starting a family will be increased, which will contribute to the sustainability of their families.

Starting in January 2026, couples aged 18-25 will be eligible for a loan of 250,000 lira, and young couples who have children will be able to postpone their repayments by 12 months. These steps will support young people in their family formation processes.

Additionally, new dormitories will be opened to meet the housing needs of university students. The goal is to exceed a capacity of 1 million KYK beds, providing a significant opportunity for young people to continue their education.

In the fight against drought and erosion, raising awareness among young people about environmental issues and promoting sustainable agricultural practices are crucial. The government's steps in this regard will play a critical role for our future.
