Volcanic Eruptions and Fires in Europe

Volcanic eruptions and forest fires are making headlines in Europe!
Record temperatures are causing forest fires across Europe. In Spain, Greece, and other countries, efforts to combat the flames are ongoing. Fires in the Galicia region of Spain have burned thousands of hectares and forced over 6,000 people to evacuate their homes.

In Greece, fires are threatening the city of Patras. 600 firefighters and 30 aircraft are mobilized to control the flames. Evacuations have begun as the fires reach residential areas.
Syria and Morocco are also experiencing fires. The hot weather has led to wildfires in these regions, with firefighting teams working under challenging conditions.

These disasters in Europe highlight the impacts of climate change. Extreme heat and drought are facilitating the spread of fires, threatening both human lives and nature.
