Climate Change and Global Warming Effects: New Temperature Records

Climate change and global warming are breaking temperature records in Turkey!
In many cities in Turkey, temperatures are rising above 40 degrees, and new temperature records are expected. Prof. Dr. Murat Türkeş from Boğaziçi University states that these heat waves are of African origin.
The eyyam-ı bahur heat waves coincide with the hottest days of the Northern Hemisphere, as land, sea, and ocean temperatures rise. The risk of forest fires also increases during this period.

Prof. Dr. Türkeş emphasizes that temperatures in Turkey are higher every year than the previous one. This summer, at least three heat waves have been experienced.
Due to global warming, average temperatures in a large part of Turkey are expected to be 4-8 degrees higher. New temperature records will be broken in some provinces.
This summer, even coastal areas are expected to reach record temperatures. Especially the elderly and individuals with chronic illnesses need to be cautious.
