Natural disasters and environmental protection are significant issues on Turkey's agenda. However, the economic challenges faced in this struggle complicate the work of environmental organizations.

Süheyla Doğan, the President of the Kaz Dağı Natural and Cultural Heritage Protection Association, shares the difficulties they encounter in their environmental protection efforts. Legal costs and expert fees make it challenging to open environmental cases.

Doğan states, "We are fighting legal battles against many projects in Çanakkale and Balıkesir. However, costs like filing fees and expert fees complicate this struggle," she says.

She also mentions that due to a climate of fear, villagers are reluctant to become plaintiffs, and they struggle to find support. She calls for solidarity to support the environmental protection struggle.
