A 5.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in Muğla, and AFAD has released a statement.

AFAD reported that there was no destruction after the earthquake and that one person died due to panic attack. Additionally, 69 people were affected due to high jumps and panic attacks.

The earthquake was felt in Muğla, Aydın, Denizli, İzmir, and Manisa. Damage assessment work is ongoing under the Turkey Disaster Response Plan (TAMP).

The Deputy President of AFAD and the General Director have been dispatched to the region to support the ongoing efforts. Damage assessment teams have been sent to the İçmeler neighborhood of Muğla.
