Severe winds in Van have caused damage to many roofs.

The winds began last night and intensified overnight, negatively affecting life. In the Edremit district, some roofs were blown off. Rıdvan Can stated, "Our roof was blown away, the children were scared, but thankfully there were no injuries."

The Metropolitan Municipality mobilized fire crews to clear fallen roof pieces and broken branches from the road. The wind speed reached up to 60 kilometers per hour.

Electric poles were also damaged due to the storm. Vangölü Electricity Distribution Company (VEDAŞ) teams quickly began repair work.

This disaster in Van has caused anxiety among residents. Authorities emphasized the need for caution regarding the storm and winds.
