Landslides in Artvin are affecting life in the region. Recent rainfall has led to soil movements.

A landslide on the Artvin-Shavsat highway was captured on camera. Soil and rock fragments fell onto the road, causing a vehicle to narrowly escape the danger.

In Hopa district, a house was dragged 50 meters due to a gradual soil movement, yet its structural integrity surprisingly remained intact. AFAD and HOPAK teams were dispatched to the area.

Another landslide in Artvin destroyed the retaining wall of an apartment hotel. One person was slightly injured, and health teams were dispatched to the area.

The Sarp Tunnel was closed to traffic due to a landslide. Teams have started working to reopen the road.

In Dere Neighborhood, a landslide blocked the neighborhood road. The mayor announced that road opening works would begin soon.
