In the Jammu and Kashmir region of India, a flood disaster has caused significant destruction. Continuous heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours has resulted in 3 fatalities.

In Ramban town, over 100 people have been evacuated, and rescue teams are continuing their efforts in the area. The infrastructure has been severely affected, and many homes have collapsed.

Authorities are working to reach those stranded and bring them to safety. However, communication disruptions in rural areas are complicating these efforts.

Additionally, the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been completely closed due to landslides, leaving hundreds of vehicles stranded.

This disaster is not limited to floods, as lightning strikes have also led to fatalities. The death toll in the Jammu region has risen to 5 in the last 48 hours.
