Storm Disaster: Roofs Blown Away in Izmir and Aydin

A storm and downpour in Izmir and Aydin negatively impacted daily life. Roofs were blown off and trees fell.
In Aydin, the storm caused a tree to fall on the Aydın-Denizli highway, blocking traffic until it was cleared. In Çeştepe, a solar water tank fell from a building's roof onto a neighboring property.

In Çeşme, heavy rain and storms created puddles on the streets and lightning struck.

Aydin's Governor Yakup Canbolat reported that teams were on duty throughout the night due to adverse weather conditions. 26 roofs were blown off, but no injuries were reported.
Teams continue to work to clear fallen trees and blown roofs. Such weather events pose significant risks to public health and safety.
