Frost in Mugla has deeply affected citrus orchards, raising concerns among producers.

The Mugla Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry teams have begun damage assessment in the orchards. Seyfettin Baydar, the Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, stated that they are examining the lands of affected producers one by one to support them on-site.

As a result of the inspections in the region, damage was detected in approximately 52 thousand decares of land in 71 neighborhoods. Baydar said, "We are working to identify all damaged areas. We will provide the necessary technical support to help our producers cope with the frost disaster in their orchards with minimal economic loss."

Producers in the region expressed that the frost event could lead to a loss of yield for the upcoming season. This situation is a major concern for both producers and the local economy.
