Hurricane and Storm Disaster: Impact on Agriculture

The hurricane and storm disaster caused significant losses in agriculture. In Adana's Çukurova region, frost events led to a 50-80% loss of crops.
Ahencan Tayakısı, the President of the Adana Chamber of Agricultural Engineers, stated that this disaster has nearly wiped out agricultural production. Many products, including tomatoes, potatoes, and lettuce, suffered severe damage.

Producers emphasize that the losses will reflect on prices and threaten food security. Price increases seem inevitable.

Farmers are calling for support and stating that if this situation continues, farming will become impossible. Urgent government measures are needed.
