A landslide disaster occurred in Aşağıdurak Village of Rize. 18 houses were evacuated by AFAD as a precaution.

The landslide happened on Friday evening as the melting snow caused the soil to loosen and flow into the village. Cleaning efforts are ongoing due to the water cut in the village.

Ismail Hakkı Bayrak stated that they had to leave their home after being warned by neighbors. He expressed shock at what he saw when he stepped onto the balcony after his wife's warning.

Emine Ofluoğlu described the landslide moments by saying, 'I looked and saw the apocalypse coming.' She pointed out that there was a water cut in the village after the incident.

Bayrak, who has to go to the district center every day for his animals, requested AFAD to evacuate the area. He also asked the authorities to build a water tank.
