Carbon Balance System is Collapsing! Climate Change is Alarmed

Climate change and global warming are among today's most critical issues. Experts are warning about the collapse of the carbon balance system.
In the last century, rising carbon dioxide levels accelerated plant growth. However, negative factors such as droughts and natural disasters have begun to reduce the carbon dioxide absorption capacity of plants.

James Curran, former CEO of the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, noted that 2008 was the peak year for carbon emissions. Since then, the amount of carbon absorbed by plants has decreased by an average of 0.25% each year.
Curran emphasized that emissions need to decrease by 0.3% annually. However, in reality, emissions are increasing by an average of 1.2% each year. This indicates a significant loss of momentum in the fight against climate change.
The loss of strength in carbon sinks leads to more carbon dioxide accumulation in the atmosphere, increasing the greenhouse gas effect. Therefore, it is clear that emissions must be reduced.
