In the Niksar district of Tokat, an elderly couple fell victim to scammers posing as police. The scammers tricked the couple into believing their names were involved in terrorist activities and took 1.5 million TL worth of jewelry and cash.

Thanks to the diligent work of the Niksar District Police Department, the suspects, C.G. (37) and K.E. (28), were arrested in Antalya. They were brought back to Niksar along with the seized stolen items.

The elderly couple realized they had been scammed and reported the incident to the Niksar District Police Department. Following a thorough investigation, the scammers were apprehended and legal proceedings were initiated.
