In Şırnak's Silopi district, allegations of corruption have surfaced against AKP Mayor Medeni Tatar. He is accused of manipulating a tender along with four others.

A criminal complaint has been filed for manipulating the tender and abusing his position. However, the district governor's office did not grant permission for an investigation against the mayor.

CHP member Ahmet Tatar reported that he was threatened by the mayor. Medeni Tatar allegedly said, "I will not let you live here," while using foul language.

According to the allegations, the municipality held a tender for 20,000 cubic meters of fill material for 1,570,000 lira. However, the reported completion time is unrealistic.
