Transportation data for Eid al-Adha has been announced!

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that approximately 16.3 million vehicles passed through the highways between June 4-9. During this period, the Fatih Sultan Mehmet and 15 July Martyrs Bridges provided free service.

Minister Uraloğlu stated that intercity bus companies served 3 million 322 thousand 695 passengers in 275 thousand 645 trips. Additionally, 2 million 783 thousand 182 passengers were transported via Marmaray and other rail systems in Istanbul.

A total of 3 million 871 thousand 108 passengers were welcomed at airports. Istanbul Airport served 1 million 152 thousand 452 passengers.

Uraloğlu emphasized that inspections in passenger transportation were increased during the holiday period and measures were taken against exorbitant pricing practices.
