DEM Party has strongly reacted to the arrest operations targeting CHP municipalities. Co-Chairs Tuncer Bakırhan and Tülay Hatimoğulları stated that these interventions are unacceptable.

Bakırhan said, "One of the fundamental principles of democracy is respect for the will of the people. Operations against elected mayors undermine social peace."

Hatimoğulları stated, "It is essential to respect the decisions made by the people at the ballot box. These political operations must be abandoned."

DEM Party expressed that the judicial intervention against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has turned into a siege against opposition municipalities. This situation hinders the public's access to services.

Bakırhan concluded, "The solution to political issues is negotiation and dialogue. We will stand against any intervention that excludes democratic politics."
