Ümit Özdağ's Trial Postponed! What’s Happening?

Ümit Özdağ's trial has been postponed! The leader of the Victory Party is being tried for remarks directed at President Erdoğan.
During the hearing on January 19, 2025, Özdağ argued that he did not insult President Erdoğan. He stated that his remarks were a political polemic.

CHP leader Özgür Özel and other party members attended the trial to support Özdağ. He emphasized that he criticized Erdoğan's policies but did not insult him.
Due to technical issues during the trial, a break was called. Özdağ shook hands with his supporters in the courtroom.
The second hearing of the case is scheduled for September 10, 2025. Özdağ stated that his political criticisms fall under the freedom of thought.
